About Winning and Loosing
Winning and Loosing are some of the oldest perception fundamentals we know as a species. The game check, probably self-proclaimed game of kings is just one the easiest and simplified examples of that thesis. White is fighting Black in an all out game, where there is only one winner and one looser. Other Examples of games like Poker, with more than two players but only one winner, Blackjack, with more than two players and more than one winner or Roulette with even more Players and Options are, in comparison, less dramatic and focus more on socialising and experiencing joy. Therefore you might claim that a game that is being played tells a whole lot about the people involved, as well as those who crafted it in the first place.
Over the span of millennia humanity learned more and more games to play. One might argue, that winning a court case by utilizing “the law” or taking profit, by winning new customer bases or market share are somewhat abstract games too. But those who played monopoly know exactly how the endgame of such abstract ways look and feel like. And justicia, with all her wit and wisdom, is in fact blind, meaning that she can’t see the natural order outside her own domain.
But winning and loosing doesn’t stop there, i am afraid. Cultures can win and loose, i.e. Empires like the Soviet Empire, the Roman Empire, the ancient Greek, as well as the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Carthagian and the Babylonian, the Mesopotamian and the ancient Egyptian Empire(s) . All had their time to shine and all crumbled under the weight of decadence, incompetence, imbalance or ignorance. Furthermore whole branches of the genetic tree can win or loose. Our species: the homo sapiens sapiensis was by no means the first anthropologian attempt of nature to conquer or defeat disorder. Not far from where i live, is the so called Neandertal. In this Valley or “Thal” in old germanistic linguistic was a fruitless attempt that came before and even existed to a degree at the same time as our own ancestors. You really have to try and imagine how “alien” this must have been for the both of them, to meet each other and having to deal not just with natures forces themselves but also competition on the highest level.
We know aswell that a whole lot of what existed previously has or had been eradicated by monumental forces, like the Impact of a massive stellar body which killed the (dino)saurs, or Ice Ages and massive climate changes caused by floral influences or volcanic activity, but also sometimes just stupidity like, well, what we know of the dodo. But even then the definition of winning and loosing can not completely comprehended because life and death are fighting for claims as well as numbers do with symmetries and asymmetries. Symmetries can be perceived as orderly, while asymmetries are often being described as chaotic. However, if you deal more than just a few seconds with the thematic you will find out, that things aren’t as simple. If you put symmetrical blocks on top of each other, you may build in order, but your construct will fall apart in the first seconds of testing. While a pile of rocks may not look orderly at all but will hardly fall apart on the other hand.
Ancient knowledge, like those the ancient Egyptian dynasties already had, gives insight that they were very well aware of the fact, as the symbols of man and women already had symmetrical and asymmetrical patterns included. At the same time, the game of kings that allows only one winner and looser stands in stark contrast to that knowledge and feels almost primitive and rude, considering the previous information. The Pyramids (of Gizeh) however are a miraculous wedding of both concepts, again and again and again with shape, constellation and different levels of gravity either for the one part and then for the other.
But the dynasties of old are gone. So are the dinosaurs, the neanderthals, countless cultures, religions, economic concepts and social structures that existed in the meantime. And those who can read this kind of information and process it adequately, can almost predict certain degrees of what is about to come.
In these days, we as the (western) civilisation rely once again on justice, law and economic power measured with means of exchange (or money). We should know exactly that these abstractions only work to a degree. You can write yourself as many laws as you can, if there no substance, no authority to execute with and in broader terms no groundwork on which those laws work on, exist, they are practically useless. Economic or industrial power act very much on the same treacherous ground. If the perception of the people they rely on diminishes because of hyperinflation or shortage of resources including the capability to understand the macro-engineering behind these abstract constructs, you can not maintain or repair them. What is left is, what must have happened countless times in countless different shapes and versions, the most pumped and upgraded version of an entity that is about to die.
Which brings me to our situation as of today. Our most beloved ancestors, first and foremost parents and grandparents have, in all their deituous wisdom, decided that they stay on top of the pyramid. They have the abstract resources like money, political influence (democracy and demography) and intelligence overwhelmingly in their own hands, passing down what can only be described as the absolute essential. When (not if) they die, not only vanish a massive amount of their resources in infighting and bureaucratic greed and incompetence, what gets lost and ultimately will cost us the most is the profound knowledge of how this framework we currently exist in, actually works.
It is therefore predictable, that we are running out of time. Time to make up the losses, not just in our infrastructure like energy, transport and communication, but also socio-culturally as a lot of our population is too “scared” to loose the little they have in money, materialism and influence. Indicated by the intelligence of newer generation it is just a matter of years, until this system as a whole collapses. Leaving countless addicts and wannabees with barely a plan of what’s going but a mentality to achieve anything and everything, if they can only set their mind to it.
I will use this occasion right here and say my good bye’s to all of you, who managed to get here. I would love to say it was an honor and i’m very proud to have served with you, but as a matter of fact, i already know that most of you look down on me and the level of violence both psychologically and physically that was used against me, tells me that most of you were somewhat involved in all of this and turned a blind eye for a decent coin or position. I hope it was worth it. The way down is very long and even more sinister. I hope you enjoy the ride.
Cheers.
